At September´s Carbon Black World Conference SCHMIDTSCHE SCHACK | ARVOS GmbH informs about its Predictive Maintenance System ZeroOne®. SCHMIDTSCHE SCHACK | ARVOS GmbH will give further insight into ZeroOne® and its fantastic world of IoT with sophisticated special sensors, cloud architecture, computer learning and algorithms that can understand the data development over time span and make a prediction of operation performance and maintenance requirements of the Schack® CB Airpreheater.
Please introduce your company
SCHMIDTSCHE SCHACK | ARVOS GmbH is a renowned designer and developer of high-temperature and high-pressure heat exchangers for the chemical, petrochemical and metallurgical industry.
SCHMIDTSCHE SCHACK | ARVOS GmbH operates from its main office and workshops in Kassel and a branch office in Düsseldorf, Germany. Affiliated offices are in Wexford (Pittsburgh, PA, USA), Houston (TX, USA), Kobe (Japan), Shanghai (China) and Singapore.
SCHMIDTSCHE SCHACK | ARVOS GmbH is a partner to the world´s leading engineering companies, process developers, contractors and operators. With its Schack® products for carbon black process SCHMIDTSCHE SCHACK | ARVOS GmbH supported the industry since more than 60 years on their way to growth and efficiency increase.
What will you be discussing at Carbon Black World 2018 and why is it important?
The Schack® Airpreheaters leave no doubt about their reliability, economy and environmental sustainability. As the leader in CB airpreheater technology we see it as our mission to help our customers optimize the productivity of their CB-plants, e.g. by increasing yield through increased air preheating temperature.
Today, the biggest advance in optimizing the CB plant economy is to reduce downtime of production lines. SCHMIDTSCHE SCHACK | ARVOS GmbH´s ZeroOne® Predictive Maintenance System is helpful for that. The system gives the plant operator indication about next maintenance steps. ZeroOne® complements the excellent SCHACK® Airpreheaters which are not modified, only ZeroOne® sensors are connected.
More information is going to be provided by ZeroOne® expert Julia Moeller in her conference paper “Listen to your airpreheaters”.
What challenges do you see industry facing at the moment?
Especially today we see significant growth of the CB industry in terms of capacity and CB quality.. SCHMIDTSCHE SCHACK | ARVOS GmbH has developed high temperature air preheaters to increase yield and with ZeroOne® also the means to reduce downtime and thus to give their customers in the carbon black industry the competitive advantage they need.
